ALL EYES ARE SET ON THE WEB SERIES NAXALBARI SHOT IN GOA DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

While the entire entertainment industry had come to a halt amid the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown, Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar-led GSEAMS found the way of content creation and shot their web series in Goa. The much awaited and soon to be released web series Naxalbari is also a story of how the producers and actors from Marathi industry are making a big leap to Hindi web series arena.Producers recently released the teaser of the web series depicting the outline of the content of the series. It’s about the movement run by the jungle dwellers for their rights and against the suppressions by the mightier. The series covers almost every angle, right from the deprival of the poor villagers to suppression of their rights and economic exploitation of the natural resources for the benefits of the politicians and industrialists mentored by them. The trailer gives a fair idea of the content of the story and also arouses the curiosity about the series.

Naxalbari is GSEAM’s first web series which will soon release on Zee5. One of the leading players in Indian entertainment industry with verticals spread across film, TV and web series productions, talent management and satellite aggregation, GSEAMS (Global Sports Entertainment And Media Solutions Private Limited) has now forayed into new age content. After its super hit Marathi web series Samantar, the company during the pandemic lockdown produced another web series Naxalbari which is ready to hit the OTT soon.The web series is in the news not only for its out of the box subject, but for the producer’s efforts taken to complete it during pandemic. GSEAMS was in the news in the entertainment industry as it was the first to start production of Naxalbari during corona pandemic in Goa with the help of Entertainment Society of Goa.

Naxalbari is directed by renowned director Partho Mitra and featuring Rajeev Khandelwal in the lead role and Tinaa Dattaa, Sreejita De, Shakti Anand,Aamir Ali, and Satyadep Misra in pivotal roles. Partho Mitra is  known for his outstanding work in Hindi film, television and digital industry. His directorial stint is known for his illustrious creations including popular Indian soap operas like Bade Acche Lagte Hain, Kasamh Se and Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar. He has also directed the Hindi film Koi Aap Sa and web series Hum.Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar of GSEAMS state, “We have always believed in quality content in whichever genre we dealt in. At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we had a series called Samantar in run and it received an amazing response from the viewers. Its second season -Samantar part-2,directed by renowned  Sameer Vidwans is all set to release. Though our entry into the web series genre has received an overwhelming response, we have continued to produce Marathi films. Very soon, the GSEAMS is producing an entirely different genre Bali-The Victims directed by Vishal Furiya and starring Swwapnil Joshi in the lead role.

To take our passion for classy content forward and offer a platform to the hidden talent, GSEAMS is exploring the concept of Writer’s Zone.
