His name is synonymous with Indian Premier League (IPL) for almost a decade. Having hosted various shows during the popular cricket league, Samir Kochhar has certainly carved a niche for himself as one of the most talented and entertaining hosts of the small screen.

With a rich baritone and a suave personality, Samir has become a household name and he is highly recognised and admired by the television audience.

Samir, who is a great admirer of Sachin Tendulkar, was surprised to learn that the shoot of his upcoming Tamil film, Adho Andha Paravai Pola with Amala Paul in Chennai was clashing with a brand launch event of the cricket legend in Goa.

A source says, “Samir had already committed to host an event for Sachin in Goa but since the date of his Tamil movie clashed with it, he requested the makers if they could allow him a day off and shoot the action sequence a day later. Much to his surprise, the makers fulfilled Samir’s request for the shift in the shoot schedule.”

Having hosted several cricket-based shows and worked closely with the cricket icon, Samir is well aware of his numerous achievements and didn’t want to miss out on the event.
