ANDAZ APNA APNA 2 SOON BUT WITHOUT IT'S ORIGINAL JODI!

Way back in 1994, Andaz Apna Apna first hit the screens and surprisingly, tanked! It was only over the years that the film gained recognition and went on to a cult. It has now been years that fans of the film have been waiting for a much-deserved sequel. After several rumours surrounding the next film in the franchise, film-maker Rajkumar Santoshi confirmed that he is indeed working on a sequel. But what might come as a huge shock, Santoshi revealed that the film won't feature the Amar-Prem jodi of Aamir and Salman Khan.

According to a report in DNA, Santoshi said "Yes, a sequel to the comic caper is very much in the offing. I want to make a worthy successor. What other filmmakers do is encash on a successful film’s title, whether there is a story or not. I can’t cheat people with the title. The day I’m satisfied with the subject being the worthy successor, I will get on the floor with the movie." The film-maker also revealed how he's planning to rope in a fresh cast for the film and said, "For humour, you need innocence. That time, these actors had the innocence. Now, it will look forced. It looks cute if a 20 year old is chasing a girl. A 45-50 year old man chasing young girls looks vulgar.”

Although we do have quite a few young talented actors who have impeccable comic timing and the potential to pull this off but we'll definitely miss the "Ailas" and "Ooi maas" by Salman and Aamir.
