Angad Bedi Hits Back At Gautam Gambhir Over His ‘Undeserving’ Comment

After Gautam Gambhir had rather unceremoniously slammed senior cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi for pushing his undeserving son Angad Bedi, it was interesting to see Gautam Gambhir posting a picture of great cricketing talent to which he added the name of Angad’s character Arvind Vashishth from the hit show Inside Edge. The character has received great love from social media and the actor has constantly been talking to fans who are intrigued at how well Angad has brought in the spirit of the sport and the body language of a skipper to his demeanor. Evidently coming from a place of great preparation, his character was a highlight for fans in the second season.

For Angad, Gambhir’s tweet was thus intriguing. He promptly wrote back saying on the old tweet of Gambhir dissing Angad and his father saying, “Bit late in the day.. sad that a colleague that I once shared a dressing room with thinks like this..(sic)” Gambhir has earlier written saying, “@BishanBedi talking about “stooping to conquer”, a man who was pushing his undeserving son for selection or @ChetanChauhanCr bent on getting his nephew in DDCA team. Shame. Also reproducing Bedi’s comments on Navdeep in a protest letter of 2013. (Sic.)” A source close to Angad says, “If he wanted to dignify this with a response, he would have when the tweet first came out. He wouldn’t have paid heed to it now either but Gambhir’s tweet reminded him of his uncouth comments and he knew it had to be met with befitting response.”
