ANKITA LOKHANDE TO SIZZLE ON THE BIG SCREEN NOW

After many hits and misses, TV actress Ankita Lokhande, who was recently in the news because of her alleged break-up with Sushant Singh Rajput is all set to take the big plunge. Lokhande will be making her big Bollywood debut in Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The queen of Jhansi. Ankita will be seen reprising the role of Jhalkaribai, who eventually rose to a position of a prominent advisor to the queen.

In an official statement given to Mumbai Mirror, Ankita said, "I'd never heard of her before, not many have, but Jhalkaribai was one of the greatest heroes of our proud history. I'm honoured that I'll be telling her story to the world, fighting alongside Kangana's Rani Laxmibai." The actress has taken upon herself to get into the skin of the character and has started training in sword-fighting with Hollywood action director Nick Powell.

Directed by Krish, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi also stars Irrfan Khan and Ali Fazal and is slated to hit the box office on 27 April 2018.
