The actress spoke about two incidents where she was harassed while working on a film. While her podcast is usually very easy going and fun-filled, where listeners call to discuss their problems and Anna, along with a guest gives unqualified advice on the same issue, this time around a distressed caller discussed her difficulty regarding talking openly about sexual assaults and that's when Anna spoke about her experience. “I had a director–I was doing a scene where I was on a ladder and I was supposed to be taking books off a shelf, and he slapped my ass in front of the crew so hard,” Faris said. “And all I could do was giggle.” “I remember looking around and I remember seeing the crew members being like, ‘Wait, what are you going to do about that? That seemed weird,’" she added, noting that no one said anything to him in the moment or afterward. "And that’s how I dismissed it. I was like, ‘Well, this isn’t a thing. Like, it’s not that big of a deal. Buck up, Faris. Like, just giggle.’ But it made me feel small. He wouldn’t have done that to the lead male.” She further added, "There is that feeling of–we're supposed to think that this isn't a big deal," Faris said. "Like, somebody making us feel small because of our sexuality or...their predatory nature. And we've been so acclimatized to it that we have to dismiss it, or we shrug it off. But I think that anybody listening...can completely relate. I don't know that I've ever talked to a woman who couldn't possibly relate." Ever since Harry Weinstein was charged with sexual assault many actresses have shared their frightening experiences of sexual harassment. That also lead to the #MeToo, which has been trending on the internet lately, where women all across the globe are talking about their terrible encounters in order to make the world realize the magnitude of the problem and how women world over face sexual assaults on a daily basis. #Hollywood #celebrities #MeToo #Entertainment #Sexual Assault #Podcast #Anna Faris #Arielle kebbel #Unqualified Related Articles Advertisment Latest Stories Read the Next Article
