Anu Malik has never done this in the last 10 seasons of Indian Idol!

Audiences all over have been impressed with the plethora of singing talent being showcased on Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol 10. India’s biggest singing reality show has been creating waves with its Top 13 ushering in a new #MausamMusicKa. The trio of judges – Anu Malik, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani have been consistently awe-struck with the performances of all the top 13 contestants on the show. The remarkable capability of the singers to modulate their tone to suit the songs has been astounding. One contestant who has continuously raised his benchmark with ever performance scored a unique ovation from Anu Malik, one of the most respected musicians and singer in the country. 

Salman Ali, the melodious singer from Haryana who has been awarded performer of the week twice on Indian Idol 10 has his eyes set on the grand prize of Indian Idol 10 title. In the latest episode where the colors of India will be celebrated, Salman Ali rendered everyone speechless as he sang ‘Bawre’. Anu Malik was so impressed with the young singer that he couldn’t stop himself from praising him and even gave him a standing ovation by standing on the judge’s table! A feat that he has never done in the last 10 seasons of Indian Idol! Neha Kakkar showered her blessings on the singer and special guest Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari remarked that he was transported to Rajasthan as he listened to Salman’s song.

When contacted Anu Malik confirmed, “I was blown away with Salman’s singing! Every season we find remarkable talent for Indian Idol but on this season all of us including Neha and Vishal are in total awe of the contestants. At such a young age, Salman shows a lot of promise with his incomparable singing. For the first time in the last 10 seasons of Indian Idol I have stood on the judge’s table to give a standing ovation to a contestant. This is what Indian Idol is all about and I would like to call him Salman Ali “Sir”!”
