Actress Sanya Malhotra, who won many hearts by essaying the role of wrestler Babita Kumari Phogat in Dangal, has finally bagged the lead role in Anand L. Rai’s Manmarziyan, which is now being directed by Anurag Kashyap .
Earlier, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, who were seen together in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, were being cast for Manmarziyan, which was being directed by Sameer Sharma. The director was replaced by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, who was then replaced by Kashyap.
According to the latest update on the film, Sanya Malhotra will be paired opposite newcomer Jassie Gill. If everything goes right then, the film will be going on floors by December this year.
