ANUSHKA SHARMA TO BE AWARDED WITH DADASAHEB PHALKE FOR MAKING MARK AS PRODUCER

Anushka Sharma is a successful B-Town actress who has become the only Bollywood star to feature in the Forbes Aisa 30 Under 30 list and recently, the actor was awarded with Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award 2018 for her genre-defining successful movies. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is India's highest award in cinema and the actor received it for breaking new grounds as a film producer, along with her brother Karnesh Sharma.

Clean Slate Films is an Indian film production and distribution company established by actress Anushka Sharma in October 2014. Along with her brother, Anushka's Clean Slate Films was set up with the single-minded intention of producing movies that the sibling duo 'believe in and the audience loves', while backing exciting, hot new talent.

Their company Clean Slate Films began their production journey with the hugely successful ‘NH10’ and then later ‘Phillauri’ and ‘Pari’ showed their maturity in dabbling with three different genres - thriller, romance and horror with a distinct and differential content pitch for audiences. And now there are news that Karnesh and Anushka will roll out three new films soon and all of them will be of different genres. As per reports, Anushka has decided upon a script that’s primarily of the comedy genre.

The act of experimenting and redefining diverse genres through their movies have won applause from critics and movie buffs as well as become success stories and that is the result which made the Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation to honour her contribution.
