It was a Sunday evening in heaven. God had finished all his work for the week. He had asked all his saints to go for a peace march on earth, specially in India where he realised their was a lot of chaos and turmoil in his name and god had sent all his angels for a well-deserved picnic. He was all alone and sitting in his favourite garden sipping the nectar which he had prepared himself by just gipping thr petals of all the roses he had grown in heaven in the liquid which is only found in heaven. He seemed completely at peace with himself and was suddenly in a mood to paint.
He asked god all the paonts found in heaven and was not satisfied and lifted his hands and created some new colours which were never seen before. He placed his canvas before his Godly eyes and gave it the first strokes and then dipped his brush into every colour and was still was disappointed.
. He taced with his hands behind him and came back to his painters seat and had the best smile he had never smiled before . And then closed his eyes and started painting with the kind of madness which can only be called divine madness. He opened his eyes after eternity and what he say dazzled his divine eyes. It was the painting of a girl who he had never created since he had begin his job of creation..
He was now in a fix and wondered whether he should be selfish and keep her back as one of his most favourite angels but after giving his ideas a great deal of time on and before it was midnight , he decided to transform his painting into a beautiful girl and decided to send her to earth as his ambasador and sent her post haste into the lives of Mr and Mrs Mishra who were originally from Uttar Pradesh in India and who had settled down in their Karmabhoomi, Mumbai. The Mishras who gave her the name, Archana and she bloomed and flourished like a flower that was rarely seen or never seen and who carried her fragrance wherever she went and gave people the kind of experience tbey had not experienced before. Little did these innocent people know that it was gods angel on earth who was among them to spread light where there was darkness, to spread love where there was hate and to spread peace where there was war. I think I was blessed by the same god who painted Archana to have a very close glimpse of her and then having regular blissful e counters with her..
I entered a tea centre in Mumbai called ‘Chaayos” and I heard a voice calling out , ‘ Welcome to Chaayos’ and I could see my own eyes taking on a new shine and I could hear thousand of little temple bells ringing in my ears. She had welcomed me into a heaven which she had created by her presence . That was the beginning of my being attracted towards the tea shop which became some kind of a place for worship for me and Archana and she became my deity. I went to have tea, but stayed on to drink the heavenly drink which gave me the kind of intoxication not all the intoxicants in the world could give me.There were tines when I wondered and even worried about whether she knew her devotee the kind of whom she would never find in her sojourn through this earth, but whether she knew or didn’t , I kept praying to her and her one look at ne was the most beautiful prayer for me which could give me a new life here and even give me a slice of heaven here. I had never believed in a place called heaven, but I now know that there us a heaven a d it is here, right here on the face of Archana..
What I liked best about my deity is that, she is as good as heavenly yet very much a part of the lives of ordinary mortal like me .
I have had off and on opportunities to talk to her and I find it very pleasing to know that she is very aware of a the realities of the world that she is living in. She has her own dreams, ambitions and desire to fulfil and in always looking for ways to fulfill them and I have wondered why the god who painted her is not yet willing to change her lives for the better while she is working so hard to be his ambassador in a world which is busy running away from god and even using him for political and other ulterior motives.
I once asked her if she was aware of how beautiful she was and the way she blushed, I could see the grace of god on her face. I have not seen this happen with any other girl of her age and I must admit that I have had the privilege of watching and admiring countless girls and women down the years. I once asked Archana if she would like to be a model or an actress and she said, ki marzi ho toh kuch bhi karlungi uske liye’ . I watched her walking out of the tea centre one evening and I could see as if she was going out to challenge the world and conquer it. What are you doing, dear god who painted Archana why dont you use the colours of life to paint her again and make her a beautiful woman who will ring honour to your name and work wonders for the world ypu have send her too..
