The master of historical films Ashutosh Gowariker reportedly is all set to begin his next project, which also revolves around the big historical war like his previous films. Yes, according to a leading daily, the director has already signed Arjun Kapoor to play the main lead, while talks are on to sign Sanjay Dutt for an important role in his another historical war drama.
According to the reports in DNA, Ashutosh Gowariker is planning to make a film based on a real-life historical battle, though it doesn't reveal the details for the same. But the reports suggest that the battle was one of the most fiercely fought ones between the 16th and 18th centuries and It was fought thrice over the years. It also states that Ashutosh is looking to cast Arjun Kapoor as the lead in the film. There are also talks with Sanjay Dutt for an important role in the movie.
Though Gowariker's last attempt Mohenjo Daro was miserably failed to impress the audience. But, the man is credited with Oscar-nominated Lagaan and other hit films like Jodha Akbar and Swades. So, his fans are eagerly waiting for his next project's details.
On the work front, Sanjay Dutt is currently busy wrapping up the shooting for Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and whereas, Arjun Kapoor is preparing for his next project Sandeep Aur Pinky Farrar helmed by Dibakar Banerjee, which also star Parineeti Chopra.
