ARJUN KAPOOR TURNS CO-OWNER OF A FOOTBALL TEAM

Arjun Kapoor is the latest Bollywood celeb to join the list of stars who own sports teams. Following in the footsteps of celebs like Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor has become the new c0-owner of the Pune Football Club, which is a part of the Indian Super League.

Arjun has always expressed his love for football. Earlier this year, he was also coined the brand ambassador of the same club, which also floated a team in the inaugural edition of the Indian Women's League (IWL).

He took to Twitter to share the news and the promotional ad for his team FC Pune City with tagline "Bleed Orange".

The 2017-18 ISL kick starts on November 17, but Pune City will start their campaign on November 22, when they face Delhi Dynamos at the Balewadi Stadium.

In a press release sent by the club, Arjun expressed his passion for football and said, “I love football and have grown up watching and playing the sport. I still actively play with my friends, who also are co-owners at various clubs in ISL.”

He added, “What FC Pune City as a club is doing with football is tremendous and it seemed a natural fit for me to join them in their endeavour to develop a professional eco-system of football across Maharashtra. Our collective enthusiasm is in creating a special and aspirational football team.”

Arjun is already a part of the All Stars Football Club that has Abhishek Bachchan as the captain and Ranbir Kapoor as vice-captain. The team does a lot of charity matches in India.
