Naxalbari is directed by renowned director Partha Mitra and featuring Rajeev Khandelwal in the lead role and Tinaa Dattaa, Sreejita De, Shakti Anand,Aamir Ali, and Satyadep Misra in pivotal roles. Partho Mitra is an Indian director known for his outstanding work in Hindi film, television and digital industry. His directorial stints is known for his illustrious creations including popular Indian soap operas like Bade AccheLagte Hain, Kasamh Se and Itna Karo Na MujhePyaar. He has also directed Bollywood film Koi Aap Sa and web series Hum.

Naxalbari is GSEAM’s first web series released on Zee5 recently. The web series was in the news for becoming the first such series to begin shooting outdoors soon after the lockdown norms were slightly lifted. While the entire entertainment industry had come to a halt, Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar-led GSEAMS decided to begin the shoot and adhere to the deadline of the release. It was shot in Goa with the help of Entertainment Society of Goa. Naxalbari producers also created a buzz in the entertainment industry for their leap into Hindi content production and for their success story about how producers and actors from Marathi industry are taking a big jump into Hindi web series arena.

The series was produced by spending Rs 11 crores

Though our entry into the web series genre has received an overwhelming response, we have continued to produce Marathi films. Very soon, the GSEAMS is producing an entirely different genre Bali-The Victim. It is directed by Vishal Furiya and features Swwapnil Joshi in the lead role.”
