A gathering of personalities from the film and media world for exciting master classes and panel discussions.
Master classes along with exciting panel discussions are being organized in the first edition of “Cinevesture International Film Festival” to be held at Taj Hotel, Chandigarh from 27 to 31 March 2024. The festival will feature an engaging series of 20 master classes and panel discussions. Which includes famous personalities like Jaideep Ahlawat, Tahira Kashyap, Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal, Roshan Mathew, Abhay Deol, Sudhir Mishra, Kohra star Suvinder Vicky, Boman Irani, Ghadhrasika Dugal, Rajshri Deshpande. "Tabbar" director Ajitpal Singh, "Kesari" director Anurag Singh, "Mr. India" director Shekhar Kapur and Academy Award-winning film Elizabeth director SonyLIV, Sony Pictures Networks India content heads Sudhir Mishra and Saugata Mukherjee, Many celebrities will be present. A master class will also be organized in the final session with Karan Johar, founder, producer, and director of Dharma Productions. The conversation will be moderated by senior journalist, film critic, and programmer/curator Namrata Joshi.
Cannes Award Winner Opens Film Festival; Korean Thriller Closes
The festival was opened with the Cannes Award-winning French film The Taste of Things, starring Juliette Binoche. The closing film will be the South Korean horror-mystery-thriller film 'Exhuma (Pamyo), which premiered at 2024 Berlin. It is considered to be Korea's highest-grossing film of 2024 so far.
The festival's advisory board includes Baahubali fame actor and filmmaker Rana Daggubati, former head of the Cannes Film Market Jérôme Paillard, former Sundance Film Festival co-director Nicole Guilmette, renowned Indian filmmaker Ajitpal Singh (Fire in the Mountains and Tabbar), Bangladeshi Filmmaker and screenwriter Nuhash Humayun (Moshari) and Julian Friedman, co-owner of the Blake Friedman literary agency.
The director of the film festival is a retired IAS and former head of the Film Division, India V S Kandu, Bina Paul is the artistic director of CIFF, and senior journalist, and film critic Namrata is the curator. This film festival is being organized by Cinevesture Private Limited. The founder and CEO of this company is Neena Lath.
