The 69th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2024 with Gujarat Tourism announces its winners for their outstanding contribution to Hindi Cinema along with stellar performances by Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Kartik Aaryan

 

~ Bollywood’s biggest stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Vicky Kaushal, and Vidhu Vinod Chopra bagged the coveted Black Lady for Best Actor in a leading role (Female), Best Actor in a leading role (Male), Best actor in a supporting role (Female), Best actor in a supporting role (Male) and Best Director categories respectively ~

 

~ Vikrant Massey and Rani Mukerji & Shefali Shah took home the awards for Best Actor Critics and Best Actoress Critics respectively, while Devashish Makhija took home the Best Film Critics for Joram ~

 

National, 28th January, 2024: The 69th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2024 with Gujarat Tourism, a star-studded gala unfolded against the stunning backdrop of GIFT City, Gujarat, on January 28th, 2024. The biggest celebration of Indian cinema was hosted by entertaining hosts Karan Johar, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Maniesh Paul. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, Shri. Bhupendrabhai Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri. Kanubhai Desai, Hon’ble Minister for Finance, Energy, Petrochemical, Government of Gujarat, Shri. Mulubhai Bera, Hon'ble Minister for Tourism, Cultural Activities, Forest & Environment and Climate Change, Government of Gujarat, amongst others.

 

The stalwarts of the hindi cinema converged in Gujarat to laud the best. The air buzzed with excitement, and thunderous cheers echoed as Ranbir Kapoor was awarded with the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) for his extraordinary performance in Animal. The Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) was awarded to Alia Bhatt for her exemplary role as Rani in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Furthermore, the Best Actor Critics’ witnessed Vikrant Massey emerging victorious for his sincere performance in 12th Fail. His performance in the film spoke volumes about his acting prowess, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of the audience. Meanwhile, the Best Actress Critics’ was shared by Rani Mukerji and Shefali Shah.

 

Amidst the thunderous applause, 12th Fail took home the Black Lady in Best Film while Joram received the honour of Best Films Critics’ for its outstanding and engaging narrative that won the hearts of many. For the Best Director Award, Vidhu Vinod Chopra received the award for his super hit movie 12th Fail.

 

Pinnacle of honour, the Lifetime Achievement Award, found its deserving recipient in David Dhawan, a luminary who has significantly contributed to the very fabric of the film industry. The award was presented to him by Shri. Mulubhai Bera, Hon'ble Minister for Tourism, Cultural Activities, Forest & Environment and Climate Change, Government of Gujarat. Furthermore, Shri. Mulubhai Bera, Hon'ble Minister for Tourism, Cultural Activities, Forest & Environment and Climate Change, Government of Gujarat also presented him with the symbol of Statue Of Unity. Representing Bharat ke Iron Man, Shri Vallabhbhai Patel, the symbol directs unity among the people of India similar to unity in the Indian cinema. Additionally, Varun Dhawan, paid a heart-warming tribute to his father, David Dhawan by performing on iconic numbers of his movies.

 

The stars took over the grand stage and performed on popular beats along with regional beats of Gujarat. The show opened with Kartik Aryan’s power packed performance. Kareena Kapoor Khan took over the crowd with her garba and Falguni Pathak performed live. Ranbir Kapoor performed on his blockbuster song Jamal Kudu while Janhvi and Sara Ali Khan gave power packed performances.

 

The red carpet of the evening transformed into a glitzy runway, where prominent figures from the industry struck poses, showcasing their unique style statements. The red carpet was graced by Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, PV Sindhu, Shikhar Dhawan, Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankar among many other glamorous faces.
