Manasi Varma has been hosting shows since the last 13 years and has become quite a pro at it. The actor-anchor says that all that is needed in anchoring is the desire to talk, talk and talk! “You should have the confidence for public speaking. You also should have a good command over the language. Basically, you need to love to talk,” she says.Ask her who her favourite anchor is, and promptly comes the reply! “Shah Rukh Khan! I love his wit and sense of humour,” she says.The actor-host recently anchored a show where a lot of biggies were in attendance. Talking about it, she says, “Recently, I hosted the 18th ICSI National Awards for Excellence in Corporate Governance where company secretaries of huge corporates like Tata, Dabur, Hindustan Unilever were present. There Adi Godrej was presented with a lifetime achievement Award,” she says, adding, “There are many other events which I anchored such as brand launches for Audi, Versace Homes, Mumbai Indians, Axis Bank, to name a few and Big Fat weddings of people like Mr Lakshmi Mittal’s niece’s wedding in Bali, Adani groups wedding in Udaipur, H'ble Chief Minister Late. Vilasrao Deshmukh's son Dheeraj Deshmukh and Mr Vashu Bhagnani's daughter Honey's high-profile wedding in Mumbai, Mr GVK Reddy's grandson Krishna Reddy's wedding in Hyderabad, where again people from all walks of life right from big industrialists to big politicians had come.”
