How did you bag the role in the serial Alibaba Daastan –E –Kabul in the first place? As usual, I went for the auditions with my mom as my chaperone to the office of the producers Peninsula Films and was lucky enough to have been picked for the role from out of almost 200 kids who had come for the audition to my director Maan Singh Sir. What is the role that you are playing in the serial? I am playing the role of a cute orphan called Gulrez in the serial. I am very small and the ‘jaan’ of my baba in the show. I love my baba very much Is acting easy for you? Yes. I find that acting is something which comes very naturally to me and I feel it is very easy but if you ask me what kind of roles I want to do, I’d say that I want to do masti bhari roles. Who are your favourite actors in films? My favourites are Sara Ali Khan and Ranbir Singh. Alia Bhatt also is okay. When compared to Sara Ali and Alia, how do you rate yourself as an actor? I am any day better than Sara Ali Khan and Alia Khan. In fact I feel that as an actress I am better than the whole world. You are also the granddaughter of the veteran actor Gufi Paiintal who had essayed the role of Shaukuni Mama in the serial Mahabharat. To what extent did dadaji help you as far as acting is concerned? Yes. I have seen Dadaji’s popular epic TV serial Mahabharat. Daduji has helped me a lot. My daduji helped me a lot to understand my role and all its intricacies. I like the way my daaduji says Bhaanje in the serial in which he plays the role of Shakuni Mama. I decided to be an actor like him after I watched Mahabharat. I now want daduji to play the role of the papa of Mariam in my serial. Besides the serial Alibaba, which are the other projects in which you have been a part of? Besides Alibababa, I also have my own Instagram page, an official YouTube channel called Live Sarah Paiintal official. I have also done ads for H&M TVC and print shoots for Firstery TVC. Also I have been a part of three different stories of the serial Shaktimaan with Mukesh Khanna Uncle on Youtube, Green Dots print shoot, and Pink Chik print shoots, Meera Shampoo TVC, Carona song for the government of India, Tic Tok Toh baby cloth brand print shoot Who are your favourite teachers in your school? Megha Miss, Manju Miss and my Computer Miss are my favourites in my school Do you get special treatment from your teachers just because you are now a celebrity in school? No. I do not at all get special treatment from my teachers though they are very kind and good to me. How do you manage to study in your school when you are busy with your shooting for the serial? I make it a point to study even while I am shooting on my sets for 15 days of every month. During the breaks on my shoot, I make it a point to study and prepare myself for my examinations Have you started giving your autographs to people? Yes. I have so far given my autographs to Shilpa, Viraj and Anantbhai till date. Besides TV, are you keen on also acting in feature films too? Yes. I am very keen on acting in TV as well as ad films, feature films. I think it is very easy to face the camera. Whenever Maan Sir asks me to act out an intense scene in the serial, I make it a point to lock it up in my mind like Fevicol and then do the scene. If I make some mistake, Maan Sir chides me lightly and I end up giving my best shot on the sets. Related Articles Advertisment Latest Stories Read the Next Article
