Almost everyone has loved her authentic-portrayal-performance as recently-retired cricket-icon Mithali Dorai Raj much-awaited film Shabaash Mithu's trailer. As expected, actress-model Taapsee is receiving a lot of love and appreciation from almost all viewers.

As is known the dynamic , pretty-tough, yet chilled-out, calm-natured Mithali Raj is the highest run-scorer in international women’s cricket What iconic movie ‘Chak De’ (2007) was to Indian Women’s hockey, 15 years later , latest bio-pic ‘Shabaash Mithu’ (2022) will be an inspiring cinematic tribute to Indian Women’s Cricket (‘The Wonder-Women in Blue’ ! )

This Pan-India movie ‘Mission Mangal’ star Taapsee, has always proven her calibre as a versatile actress with her power-packed performances in other landmark movies like ‘Badla’, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ and of course ‘Manmarziyaan’, With ‘Shabaash Mithu’, Taapsee takes the expectations notches higher again as she looks convincing in her portrayal of national ladies team cricket- former batswoman and captain Mithali Raj.

The outspoken ‘Pink’ girl Taapsee has often depicted her sheer admiration towards sports and her awe and respect towards all the sportspersons and she loves playing outdoor games after pack-up or when she is chilling out.., Interestingly Taapsee is immensely popular among Southside regional audiences. Because she has acted in diverse lead roles in Tamil, Telugu and even Malayalam regional movies and made an impact.

Speaking about her passion-love for sports, Taapsee added, “I am star struck with sport stars. I haven’t seen many movies while growing up until college. But I followed sports since my childhood.

So, whenever I see a sports star, I am always star struck which comes with huge amount of respect that I have for each one of them.

Bio-pic movie Shabaash Mithu, is directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios is expected to  hit  cinema-theatres on Friday,15th July this year.
