Ashish Chanchlani Turns Director For His Debut Short Horror Film Aakhri Safar

Popular comedian and YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani unveil his first short horror film “Aakhri Safar”, starring actors Akshata Sonawane and Deepak Sampat. The riveting and edgy the story revolves around a rickshaw driver and his spooky encounter with a sinister passenger every day late at night. This chilling episode with eerie scenes that are actually guaranteed to definitely send a shiver down your spine is sure to keep you glued to your seat. Believe it or not, in less than a week, the short film has garnered over 8 million views.

Talking about his new short film, an excited debutant director Ashish Chanchlani said “I wanted to make something out of the box, in a genre that was not a comedy. I am absolutely thrilled with the overwhelming response of the audience to the video. Horror has always intrigued me and I wanted to experiment with a genre I had never dabbled in before. A passion project, this film is an entertaining mix of clever gritty scenes with surprise elements. The sheer number of viewers is ample testimony for the love that my film has received.”

With this move, the YouTube star has added a new chapter of scare to his legacy of comedy. Ashish started his career by making vines way back in 2009 and gained popularity when he shared his videos on Facebook. He then moved to YouTube and went on to become the 3^rd Indian YouTuber to cross more than 16 million subscribers. With a whopping 16 million subscribers and an impressive YouTube channel called Ashish Chanchlani Vines, the youth icon is one of the most important personalities in the current paradigm of the internet world and soon hopes to make his bow in the film industry with his imaginative and out of the box projects too.
