Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari Gets Nostalgic As Nil Battey Sannata Completes 3 Years!

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, who made her directorial debut with the Swara Bhasker-starrer Nil Battey Sannata got nostalgic as the inspiring family entertainer has completed three years today.

Released on April 22, 2016, Nil Battey Sannata got Ashwiny the critical acclaim and recognition from all age groups who loved the poignant story of a mother and her daughter.

Ashwiny’s debut film received huge appreciation from all the prestigious international film festivals including Silk Road International Film Festival in Fuzhou, China and BFI London Film Festival. The debutant filmmaker won the prestigious Filmfare Best Debutant Director award. Swara also bagged Best Actress award for the movie at the Silk Road International Film Festival in China and ZEE Most Entertaining Actor for the movie.

The talented filmmaker also directed the Tamil version of Nil Battey Sannata – Amma Kanakku co-produced by Aanand L Rai and Dhanush. The filmmaker’s second film, Bareilly Ki Barfi featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon was appreciated by the critics, fraternity and audiences alike and she won Best Director at Filmfare awards.

Ashwiny’s next highly-anticipated project is Panga featuring Kangana Ranaut, Neena Gupta, Richa Chadda and Jassie Gill and has also been signed on by Fox Star Studios to direct a movie based on Kabaddi.
