It is mind blowing and mind staggering to know how India makes the largest number of films in the world . Some or very few films succeed at the box office or are even appreciated , but India continues to be at the top when it comes to producing films - Ali Peter John

In the near future , we will be seeing some very exciting films and let us take a look at them .

The first such film that comes to mind is "83 " which has been delayed for almost three years and will now finally be released on December 24 , which incidentally is also the birthday of Jhakaas Anil Kapoor .

83 as almost every one knows by now is the saga of India's victory and winning the World Cup in 1983 . That match which clinched the World Cup for India is still remembered for all the exciting , tense and glorious moments.

Cricket was never so thrilling as it was on that day . And there were many heroes , but the biggest heroes were Kapil Dev , Madan Lal and Mohinder Amarnath and if one looks back at the match , every player including Sunil Gavasker and Sayed Kirmani were the heroes who brought home the World Cup , the memories of which are still very much alive , among those who had the privilege and good fortune of watching Kapil's Devils snatching to the Cup from the giant - killers , the West Indies.

It is after almost forty years that director Kabir Khan has faced the challenge of bringing the saga on screen .

Ranveer Singh who has faced many challenges as an actor is playing the role of Kapil Dev and experts who have seen glimpses of the film are all applause for Ranveer for bringing the moments of Kapil alive during that game.

There is no evidence of what Kapil's wife , Romi had to play during that history making encounter , but in the film there is Deepika Padukone who plays Romi . All the other actors are unknown names but they suit the players both Indian and the players of the West Indies .

83 will finally be released and that is a great victory for Kabir Khan and his team . Incidentally , the last film made on cricket was the biopic on M S Dhoni and the late Sushant Singh Rajput played the role to perfection , as if it was his last hurrah .

The other big film that has been delayed countless times is "Brahmastra " , a film based on mythology and directed by Ranbir Kapoor's best friend Ayan Mukherjee . The film has Amitabh Bachchan , Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt ( they have been dating since the film started ) , Nagarjuna , Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia in leading roles.

It will be released in three parts like the great showman Raj Kapoor had planned to release "Mera Naam Joker" and there is still some more time for it to be released even though the posters were released in New Delhi on December 14 .

And for those who are waiting for Shah Rukh Khan to return to work , there is news. He has just started shooting for his Hyundai ad and will be shooting for another of his brands soon.

But , it is now confirmed that he will start shooting for feature films with "Pathan" which he is doing for YRF after a long time.

The film has Deepika Padukone and John Abraham who plays the antagonist for the first time and who has adjusted his dates to suit the dates of SRK who has lost almost two months of shooting due to the Aryan Khan controversy.

Pathan will now be shot on a war - footing . And then SRK may start a non - stop shoot for Attlee ( the director from the South ) for his multi - crore film teaming SRK with the number one actress of the South , Nayanthara .
