Ban Ullu...Say No To Soft Porn...No Rape India..

As a Producer, Director and Writer I had accepted to make bold content for Ullu channel. Since it was the order of the day to make bold content as done by Ekta serial and many directors like Zoya Akhtar and Karan Johar, I had a clear reference as to how I would handle the subjects I had written. Given my deep connect with the TV industry I knew that I would handle this bold concept but the team at the channel, specifically Mr. Vibhu and Soni Singh, pushed it so far that they started compelling me to do and shoot things which I had never imagined in terms of adult content.

It clearly came to a stage where I felt that, by the language used by the channel and the team, I was being harassed and exploited. I felt as if I was going through a #MeToo as a Writer/Director. It became difficult for me to handle my Artists beyond a certain stage as I could understand that it will be harming to any woman mentally.

I, as a woman, wanted to produce bold content as others were doing too, but only for the channel viewers. It has come to the knowledge of me and a lot of other artistes that the content of Ullu app is being telecasted on various porn websites and I definitely did not make and produce my stories for porn websites.

I hope and wish that the industry and the women stand up for this cause and may the channel be shut down for this gross and illegal act of theirs.

Vulnerable producers

- producers put in hard earned money , but still there is no guarantee of their payment and  not generally made on time, or even not made totally

- channel acts on its own whims and fancies, no consideration for the producers , illogical demands by channel after a the Producers have invested their money, they get stuck to listen to their illegal demands .

- Being a single parent and woman who is striving to sustain along with her kids , and been respectfully in the industry, have been targeted with defamation just because I Roshaan Garry decided not to allow my show to be on a porn site . I refused to give the Dubbing after the episode was already released because I learnt though the ex employee that the channel also has an Audio Porn Site . Due to which just to stop me from going to cyber cell n police they slapped a legal notice on me of not do Dubbing and not giving Noc . Which I would not give for Porn sites of Audio n Video.

Vulnerable actors

- the actors are not comfortable with shooting the content which is forced upon by the channel , sometimes through the producer and sometimes directly.

- the actor has worked for the audience of the app , they trusted me .  but the Ullu app has leaked and uploaded all the episodes on porn websites which has made these actors and even the producers go into depression . We and our families are in the worst phase of our life . All reputations of ours has got ruined .

- actors are heading towards self destruction due to this behaviour and nasty act of the channel

- we are actors and not porn artistes , we are Technicians no porn directors.

- families have been destroyed

- respect has been completely ruined and lost amongst the friends and family.

Unjustified content use and leakage by channel

-Ullu  App  leaks the content to the porn sites, perhaps for a financial benefit

- Ullu App Team Vibhu Agarwal and Soni Singh forces to shoot over the top soft porn content . They reject the content if you don’t do over the top intimate scene. They demand a Reshoot .

- Ullu App Team is commititing a crime by doing this

- Ullu App has done harassment to  actors and producers in past to , non of their Producers and actors want to work with them any more .

- Ullu App also has an Audio Porn Site called Cheeti- Sabko Kategi. Where they post Audio Porn , this came to my knowledge through their Ex Employee Soumita Das , who has herself got one such Audio recorded through the Audio Mixing Guy called Karamvir in 4 bungalow mahada.

- this will lead the present generation and the generations to come into sexual predators

- safety of actors and also the public at large is being put to direct threat

- another nirbhaya another Priyanka Shetty may take place because of such acts of the channel

- content being posted on porn sites without any NOC or permission from the producer and the artistes

Recent incidents of rape like that of #Nirbhaya in 2012 and #PriyankaReddy a few days ago, which happened in the most heinous and unimaginably criminal ways have brought to light the many challenges faced by upwardly mobile, working women in urban India.

One glaring fact is that most of these crimes are committed by intoxicated boys and men belonging to lowest socio-economic segments of society, least educated or illiterate as well as ill informed about the norms to follow when conducting their lives in metropolitan cities populated with people hailing from diverse cultures.

A big question that’s worrying stakeholders promoting empowerment and equality for women is that, what is it driving men to lose their senses to an extent where the brutality they unleash upon small children, girls and women is so bloodletting?

It has also recently been observed that there is no limitation upon the easy access to pornography today through cheap Apps and websites, which stream mindless and spine chilling content unendingly to people in audio and video formats and in the languages that they prefer.

Over 80% population of India are smart phone owners today and the Apps supplying outrageously salacious content to anybody for the asking, come to them at costs as low as Rs 20 a month.

There is no doubt that young boys and men who are denied informed upbringing and education in millions are watching these content materials and are being misled to believe that the behaviour portrayed in the videos are culturally acceptable.

Moreover #SoftPornApps  endorses the influence by known Artists in most popular and mainstream successful fare, by characterising such attitudes as unobjectionable. Wherein they too are mislead by the creators Saying it’s for Film Festivals and not disclosing these Soft Porn Apps .

Soft porn is being calibrated and streamed by several Apps, that are culling sleaze from web series, which presently allow showcase of lovemaking and sex, and stringing it together to sell it dirt cheap for audiences to devour.

The issue needs to be addressed urgently and with rigour at all levels of societal hierarchies.  Parents, teachers, elders, policy makers, frontline workers and influencers are required to join hands to help boys understand the difference between good and bad behaviour as well as how to manage their lives as is expected of human beings to do.

#NoRapeIndia a group founded by Ravina Raj Kohli has thousands of members discussing and trying to find ways in which women can be made safe and children can be protected from predators. Roshaan Garry along with Many Artists and Technicians want to put an end to these Soft Porn Apps and Punish the Creators of Such Soft Porn Content .

Complaint sent to the Commissioner of Police

Subject: Intimation of attempt to extortion, fraud, cheating and cyber crimes.

Dear Sir,

This is to inform you that a channel namely Ullu Digital Pvt Ltd entered into a contract with me and in furtherance to that contract is trying to extort monies and my product from me. They have not only breached the terms of the agreement but have also cheated and defrauded me as a producer and the cast and crew by not paying up and having obtained a final copy of the episode from me and have aired it on their app on the 25th of october 2019. They are not paying my legitimate dues and pressurizing me through various ways to not take my dues and rather pay them monies for their false losses.

It is pertinent to note that Ullu app is famous for having sleazy erotic adult content on its app. They are using the such erotic portions of such content on various porn sites which is against all tenets of law. Even the story producer by me find place on pornsites, the screenshots of which are attached herewith for your ready reference. This kind of behaviour is not only jeopardising the image of the artists but also making the female actors’ character vulnerable to the world and their comments at large which should not be tolerated at any point. Female actors have gone into severe depression and are being made to be at a judgemental position in the eyes of the society at large. They are obtaining content from various producers on porn sites without any permission from the cast/producers. They are also recording and publicising Audio porn content and stories on their website/ channel called Cheeti. They are making the producers shoot content which is soft porn and then using it on porn sites for their perhaps financial benefit, but at large this is trying to make normal actors into porn actors, and without any choice or permission. They also show this content in video parlours and other small theatres in the interior regions of our country. This is leading the generations of today and tomorrow into a black nasty zone.

Kindly look into the matter urgently pertaining to extortion, cheating, fraud and cyber crimes. Some links of such websites and content is attached hereith for your kind perusal.

It is also requested to please provide me protection as the owners of the channel and their cohorts may harm me and my family for exposing them.
