Winsome TV star ( ‘Veera’ and of ‘Bigg Boss-9’ fame) and vivacious Bollywood actress Digangana Suryavanshi who has this unique record of two of her debut Hindi movies ( ‘Jalebi’ and ‘FryDay’ ) releasing on the same day, will be celebrating her janamdin in Mumbai, on auspicious ‘Kojagiri-Sharad- Purnima’ day (tomorrow). Speaking exclusively to this senior film journalist, madame Suryavanshi ( also a novelist) said, “My birthday resolution is to make every day count, get better at everything that I do and not let petty things affect me. Maybe, also give a thought, about having a boyfriend…ha-ha. Simultaneously I am also looking forward to being cast in more commercial Hindi films and web space too, but with great scripts and exciting roles,” shrugs ‘Diggy’, who is among the star-discoveries of bohemian film-maker Mahesh Bhatt. Having acted opposite Kartikeya in released Telugu maverick movie ‘Hippi’ which had its share of few risque dialogues, Digangana soon became one of the hot-favorites among Southside film-makers. Telugu top film-maker K S Thanu even complimented talented ‘Diggy’ as the next “Jayalalitha in-the-making”. Besides her debut Telugu movie, Digangana now has three more South movies, with contrasting lead roles, in her kitty What is that excited her about her first debut Tamil movie ‘Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale’ opposite Harish Kalyan directed by Sanjay Bharathi, the shooting of which is complete. “ It is a unique subject, a clean, family-entertainer, with zodiac-astro-signs and warm romance as its central theme and my fans will love my powerful astronomer-character,” insists the ‘Jalebi’ girl who is unwilling to reveal any more. When quizzed about what was the learning experience from Salman Khan during her ‘Bigg Boss-9’ interactions ? “Salman-Sir is so hard-working and has this fetish for fitness, never taking his wow, macho looks for granted. So inspiring,” she signs off.
