The petition was filed last week to change the name of India to Bharat before a bench headed by the Chief Justice SA Bobde as per the notice uploaded on the website of the Supreme Court. According to the petitioner, "The removal of the English name, though appears symbolic, will instill a sense of pride in our nationality, especially for the future generations. In fact, replacing India with Bharat would justify the hard-fought freedom achieved by our ancestors"

Brands are going high on #Vocalforlocal and #Atmanirbhar" narrative- From global, MNCs to cross level indian brands- Everyone is trying to connect to their local relevance, essence and market to drive audience interest. Expression of #BoycottChinaproducts- Twitter has witnessed expression of boycott chinese products in last few days with leading celebrities like Sonam Wangchu, Milind Soman, Arshad Warsi, Ayushmaan Khurana and many others boycotting Chinese products and apps like Tiktok and urging people to join the cause in a service to the "nation".

Extending support to #MadeInIndiaproducts-Yoga Guru Ramdev and the first Indian idol and playback Singer, Abhijeet Sawant have also made appeals to support made in India brands  like Flipkart, ShareChat, Roposo, Jio, Amul, ITC etc and to trigger the growth buttons of Indian brands to sustain and grow and contribute to the Indian economy.  Indian-idol fame Abhijeet Sawant said  "It's our responsibility as a citizen to become Atma Nirbhar. If 130 crore people start using only Indian made goods and apps like ShareChat, Jio, Flipkart which will have a worldwide effect. It will help our own businesses to grow. The playback singer has shown his support towards promoting Made in India products, wherever possible" .

Commenting on the development, Leading lawyer and activist Ms Varsha Madhukar draws an analogy with the Japanese Economy and said " Post World War II,  when Japanese economy collapsed, Japanese took the national initiative to support their Country made products, goods and services. The national wide initiative not only revitalized the economy but brought back the lost pride of its nation. I strongly believe we as Indians are now in a strong need psychologically, mentally, and economically to take one bold step to demonstrate the 'Power of India' and achieve the leap growth we all aspire to. We all need to go back to the drawing board and design the new Bharat and its aspirations."
