Salman Khan’s latest release Bharat which has done immensely well on the box office has also become the most popular film (first half of this year 2019) on the Score Trends India charts. These statistics are authenticated and researched by the US-based media tech Score Trends India. As per Score Trends India statistics, Bharat has scored the maximum 100 points with coverage across the Viral News, Newsprints and Digital categories which comprises of Social platforms and websites. The second on the charts is Karan Johar’s Kalank which had a lukewarm business at the box office but surprisingly performed good on the charts with overall 22.78 points.  Kalank scored maximum in Digital ( Social platforms and Websites) with 42.6 points while its news print and Viral news categories were merely around 22.56 and 10.09 points respectively. While, Vicky Kaushal’s blockbuster  URI the Surgical Strike is on rank 3 with overall of 22.35 points .

Uri scored good in Digital with 40.30 points and News print with 28.66 points.The legend Amitabh Bachchan’s Badla ranks 4th on chart with 17.53 overall points. Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari ranks 5th with overall 16.18 points and has done good with 30.52 points in the Digital category. Ashwani Kaul, co-founder of Score Trends who is US based reveals, “Salman is the undisputed superstar and his films are bound to lead the charts. But surprisingly films like Manikarnika ranked 6, followed by Thackeray on 7th, Gully Boy on 8th and Total Dhamal on 9th position also  fared  good on the ST charts “."Kabir Singh is the new entrant in the second half of the year and has already entered the chart on the 10th position. This film is anticipated to surpass all other films to top the chart in the yearly ranking,” Kaul added.  Kaul further elaborates, “We collect data from over 600 news sources across 14 languages in India to analyse the media. These include Facebook, Twitter, print publications, viral news on social media, broadcast and digital platforms". "Various sophisticated algorithms then help us to process this massive amount of data and arrive at the scores and rankings of celebrities,” conclude Kaul.
