Bhumi Pednekar Opens Up About Her Personal Struggles On And Off-Screen

Bhumi Pednekar recently took to her Instagram to open up about her inner apprehensions. In collaboration with Pond’s as part of their #SeeWhatHappens campaign, the Bollywood star speaks out to her fans on her initial cold sweats during the launch of film, “Dam Lagake Haisha” directed by Sharat Katariya. She says that she had fears about how the audience would perceive, her - an overweight girl to be the love interest of your typical Bollywood hero. Filled with worry, these fears were put to rest with a positive response from her audience because of her defiance to beauty standards and her will to break from the norm. Post her weight loss, she had overcome similar inhibitions of whether her fans would perceive her as a ‘one-hit wonder’ or stereotype her as a slave to beauty standards, by simply focusing on work and not succumbing to these inner worries.
