AMITABH BACHCHAN TO BE HONOURED AT THE IFFI 2017

It's not long before Amitabh Bachchan will have a prefix, 'The', before his name.

Having spent five decades in the industry with over 190 films in his repertoire, Amitabh Bachchan hasn't just won an abundance of respect but all these years later, he's just as charming. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the luminary is being honoured at the IFFI 2017 with the Personality Of The Year Award. 

Revered as one of the most prestigious film festivals of Asia, International Film Festival of India will be held in Goa. The legendary actor will be honoured with the award at the closing ceremony of IFFI, scheduled to take place on 28 November. A special audio-visual is also going to be showcased to the delegates from across the world at the gala, read a statement on behalf of the organisers.

IFFI 2017 Festival Director Sunit Tandon said

"IFFI 2017 is delighted that Amitabh Bachchan has consented to accept the Indian Film Personality of the Year Award, which is being conferred on him as a mark of respect to the tremendous contribution he has made to Indian and international cinema."

Mr. Bachchan will next be seen in Thugs Of Hindostan and 102 Not Out.
