Amazon Prime Video kicks-off the month of April with the latest, exciting Indian and International titles across genres and languages. Starting April 3, Amazon Prime Video brings to you the mysteries of the universe with its latest 8-part sci-fi Amazon Original Series Tales from the LoopAdding to the list of Academy Awards winners, Amazon Prime Video will also be premiering the musical-biopic film based on the life of legendary musician Sir Elton John, Rocketman on April 2. The film won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song and received nominations for its music across multiple major film and music awards.

Starting April 4, Prime members across 200 countries and territories can stream the much-awaited premiere of director Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s latest historical romantic drama Shikara. Starring newcomers Aadil Khan and Sadia in the lead, Shikara is the story of resilience in the face of insurmountable odds.

This week, Prime Video is set to take you on a quirky journey with Abhishek, an urban boy who takes up a job as a secretary for a rural panchayat in the upcoming series Panchayat. The eight-part comedy-drama is a classic fish out of the water story featuring a talented cast, including Jitendra Kumar (Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan) as the lead protagonist and Neena Gupta (Badhaai Ho), Raghubir Yadav (Massey Sahib) and Biswapati Sarkar as the warm yet quirky characters working at a local panchayat office. Panchayat will be available to stream globally starting April 3, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Prime members will also be able to stream the digital premieres of latest Indian titles including Love Aaj Kal Porshu (Bengali), HIT (Telugu), Trance (Malayalam), Maya Bazaar 2016 (Kannada) and Gidarh Singhi (Punjabi) shortly after their theatrical release.

Tales From the Loop

The townspeople who live above "The Loop," a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe, experience things previously consigned to the realm of science fiction. Created by Nathaniel Halpern, the show stars Rebecca Hall, Duncan Joiner, Daniel Zolghadri, among others.

Rocketman

Rocketman is a 2019 biographical musical film based on the life of British musician Sir Elton John. Directed by Dexter Fletcher and written by Lee Hall, it stars Taron Egerton as Elton John, with Jamie Bell as Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard as Sheila Eileen.

Panchayat

Panchayat is a light-hearted show capturing the journey of an urban protagonist Abhishek Tripathi, who for lack of a better job option, joins as secretary of a panchayat office in a remote village of Uttar Pradesh. Stuck between crazy characters, Abhishek unwillingly starts his job but with the sole motivation of getting out of there as soon as possible, for which he even prepares for CAT.

Shikaara

Shikara is the story of resilience in the face of insurmountable odds. It's also the story of a love that remains unextinguished through 30 years of exile. A timeless love story in the worst of times.

HIT (Telugu)

Vikram is a 30-year-old cop. While he is battling with his own traumatic past, the stakes get high when a girl called Preethi mysteriously disappears in Hyderabad and Vikram has to solve the case at any cost

Trance (Malayalam)

The Story revolves around Viju Prasad, a motivational trainer based out of Kanyakumari, and the growth and setbacks he faces in different phases of his life.

Maya Bazaar 2016 (Kannada)
