Spiritual healer Amiben Modi celebrated her birthday recently on July 23. She says that it's not just a day of celebration but it decides a person's traits and identity too."Birthday is not just a day of celebration. It holds a lot of astrological and spiritual significance, especially considering the numerology, placement of the celestial bodies and even the identity it gives you. It gives the individual a name and the birth date also decides a lot of personality traits.
It is not just any day, Birthday is the day that marks the creation of you," she says. She also feels that birthdays are a day for reflection and introspection and one should learn from the mistakes of the past year and evolve as an individual. She further adds, "It is extremely important to be happy about the fact that you are created. Birthdays are the days when I am extremely grateful for everything and I’m looking forward to the new chapter for my life. I’m not only proud of myself for facing the hurdles and overcoming them, but also thankful for the lessons I learnt."
Talking about her birth date she first admits that 23 is her favourite number, and adds, "It also happens to be the number of Shankeshwar Parshwanath, in whom I’ve immense faith and I’ve devoted my life to. For me, my birthday is a day to fall in love with myself all over again, as well as be thankful for everyone and everything I’ve in my life."She also shares her birthday plans and says, "In the morning I visited the temple and then my workplace, accepting wishes and blessings from everyone who spared the time to visit me.
I thanked God for being ever so kind for all the love and blessings He showered. I spent an hour with myself after returning home, reflecting upon the last year and counting my blessings and also analysing my mistakes, thinking about ways to make myself better. This birthday was a little different as I spent the maximum time with my family, which to me was beautiful. This is when I realised that there are so many beautiful things in life which we happen to take for granted. There are so many amazing things we miss out on."
