Bollywood actor and radio and TV presenter Annu Kapoor was born on 20 January 1956 in a very talented family in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
His father Madanlal Kapoor was Punjabi and his mother Kamala was Bengali. His father ran a Parsi theater company , which went from city to city and performed on street corners. His mother was a poet and well versed in classical dance.
Grandfather Dr. Kripa Ram Kapoor was working as a doctor in the British Army. His grandmother Ganga Ram Kapoor was an Indian freedom fighter.
Annu Kapoor did not study much due to PCA constraints. His mother was working as a teacher in a school on a salary of 40 rupees and on the persuasion of his father, he joined his father's theater company.
A few days later, he got admission in the National School of Drama, Delhi. Annu Kapoor has had two marriages , in which a wife's name is Anupama Kapoor, who was born in America and Annu Kapoor has four children , in which three boys - Kavan , Mahir and Ivan while a daughter is Aradhitha.
Annu Kapoor started her career in theatre, but her luck changed when she played the role of a 70-year-old at the age of just 22-23, the famous director Shyam Benegal also came to see this play.
He was very impressed with Annu's performance and wrote a letter of appreciation to Annu and called to meet her.
Then Annu Kapoor started her Hindi cinema career with the film Mandi and gave many memorable films to Bollywood, she worked in many Hindi films, and TV serials in her acting career of 30 years .
He has also been honored with Filmfare and National Award for his portrayal of Dr. Chadha in the Hindi film Vicky Donor . ( 1984), Utsav ( 1984), Damul (1985), Arjun ( 985), Mr. India ( 1987), Tezaab ( 1988), Gunahon Ka Faisal ( 1988), The Perfect Murder ( 1988), Dost ( 1989 ), Chaalbaaz ( 1989), Ghayal ( 1990), Jamai Raja ( 1991), Hum ( 1991), Payal ( 1992), Waqt Hamara Hai (1993), Darr ( 1993), Drohkaal ( 1994), Arjun Pandit ( 1999), Kachche Dhaage (1999), Aitraaz ( 2004), Vicky Donor ( 2012), Yamla Pagal Deewana 2 (2013), Dharma Sankat Mein (2015) etc and more recently he also appeared in the superhit film Jolly LLB 2 (2017) and so on. In the year he has another film coming "Mangal Ho", apart from this he has worked as a presenter in many TV shows of Hindi films.
