An Indian actor, producer, film director, and editor, best known for his Wild West-style films, Feroz Khan appeared in over 60 Bollywood films and became a style icon for his fashion as well as directorial choices. Born on 25 September 1939 in Bangalore, India, Feroz Khan completed his schooling at Bishop Cotton Boys' School and St. Germain's High School in Bangalore. After completing his schooling, he traveled to Bombay to try his luck in acting.

Firoz Khan ruled the hearts of the audience in a royal style for a long time. In the world of Bollywood, where actors stick to their image for fear of losing films, there was one actor who never allowed himself to be bound by any image. Made his debut in 1960 with the film 'Didi'

- Firoz Khan has three brothers Sanjay Khan (actor-producer), Akbar Khan, and Sameer Khan (businessman). He has a sister named Dilshad Bibi. Firoz's niece and Sanjay Khan's daughter Suzanne was married to Hrithik Roshan.

- Firoz Khan After completing his studies in Bangalore, he came to Mumbai and started working in films. He started his acting career with the 1960 film 'Didi'.

'Tarzan Goes to India' in the English language

  • In the year 1962, he worked in an English-language film 'Tarzan Goes to India'. The heroine in this film was Simi Grewal. In 1965, his first hit film 'Unche Log' came which gave him the taste of success.
  • Firoz Khan received the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for his performance in 'Aadmi Aur Insaan' (1970). He gave excellent films like 'Mela', and 'Dharmatma'. In the same decade, he started his journey as a producer-director. His journey started with the film 'Dharmatma'.

  • Feroz Khan's name comes among the most stylish heroes of the 70s-80s in Hindi cinema. He is also called the first and last 'cowboy' of Bollywood. As long as he lived, Feroz never gave up his royalty. Feroz Khan's life was no less than that of a prince.
  • Before marriage, Firoz Khan was considered to be quite colourful. His hobby was to party till late night in night clubs. Big celebrities of Bollywood used to attend his parties. Everyone was aware of this hobby of Firoz Khan. During one such party, Firoz Khan met Sundari.  

Had an affair with an airhostess after marriage

- Sundari was already married and had a daughter Sonia but no one ever talked about this. Firoz and Sundari got married in 1965. Firoz Khan and Sundari had two children. Their daughter Laila was born in 1970 while Fardeen Khan was born in 1974.

  • After a few years of marriage, Sundari came to know that Feroze was dating a girl. This girl was none other than Jyotika Dhanrajgir, daughter of the famous Dhanrajgir family. Jyotika was an airhostess and her father was Maharaja Mahendragir Dhanrajgir.

Divorced after 20 years of marriage

- After a few years of marriage, Sundari came to know that Feroze was dating a girl. This girl was none other than Jyotika Dhanrajgir, daughter of the famous Dhanrajgir family. Jyotika was an airhostess and her father was Maharaja Mahendragir Dhanrajgir.

  • Jyotika and Firoz were in a relationship for about 10 years but when Jyotika talked about marriage, Firoz backed out. Jyotika was shocked by Firoz's attitude. After which she shifted to London. After 20 years of marriage, Firoz Khan and Sundari got divorced in the year 1985.

27 April 2009 Took his last breath - Firoz Khan worked in films like 'Reporter Raju (1962), 'Suhagan' (1964), 'Unche Log' (1965), 'Aarzoo' (1965), 'Aurat' (1967), Aadmi Aur Insaan' (1969), 'Mela' (1971), 'Khote Sikkey' (1974), Dharmatma (1975). 'Welcome', directed by Anees Bazmee in 2007, was Firoz Khan's last release.

  • In the year 2010, Firoz Khan was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. Firoz Khan was suffering from cancer and was treated for a long time in Mumbai. On April 27, 2009, he breathed his last at his farm house in Bangalore.
