Dharmendra

Film star Dharmendra's birthday is on 8th December, he is turning 88 years old. When I looked at this combination of number 8, I found that this is the number that has given unmatched success to Dharam ji.

Happy Birthday Dharmendra: DHARAM ... EK AADHUNIK GAATHA

Came from a typical village:

Born in 1935 in a Jatt family in a small village in the Ludhiana district of Punjab. His father was a teacher in a government school. Dharam ji passed matriculation from Phagwara. He has been fond of watching movies since childhood. Also did a government job as a pump attendant for some time. The marriage also took place. Son Sunny (Deol) was born in the village itself on 19 October 1956. Despite all this, Dharam ji was not happy with his family life. He used to dream, day and night of becoming a big film star like Dilip Kumar.

Film magazine "Filmfare" ran a campaign to search for new talent, Dharam ji's rough-tough personality, good looks, and well-built body appealed to the selectors. According to Numerology, it was due to the influence of the number 8 that Dharam Ji left his home, family, wife, and child and set out on an unknown journey. Just look at his courage, a Jatt from Punjab left home despite having no identity in the world of films and no support in Bombay. The combination of numbers 1 and 3 with the number 8 in his date of birth created paths to success for him.

Dil Bhi tera Hum Bhi tere

Dil Bhi Tera Ham Bhi Tere...

Just as he was about to step into his 26th (8th) year of age, his first film "Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere" was released in 1960. Films like 'Aas Ka Panchhi', 'Anpadh', 'Bandini', 'Aapki Parchaiyaan', 'Haqeeqat', 'Pooja Ke Phool', 'Aayi Milan Ki Bela', and ‘Kajal’... come continuously, and Dharam Ji's career started. With the immense success of "Phool Aur Patthar", his image as an action hero was established, and stories of his closeness with the top heroine of that time, Meena Kumari, became common. It seems as if Dharam ji, having number 8 affected him as well as he has always been feeling lonely despite having all the comforts and facilities and loved ones. In the same year, romantic musical films like "Aaye Din Bahaar Ke" took Dharam ji to the heights of success. Dharam ji became a superstar due to films like ‘Anupama’, ‘Devar’, ‘Mamta’, ‘Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya’, ‘Baharein Phir Bhi Aayengi’, ‘Dulhan Ek Raat Ki’, etc.

'Shikar', 'Izzat', 'Aankhein', 'Aaya Sawan Jhoom Ke', 'Yakeen', 'Satyakaam', 'Man and Insaan', 'Aan Milo Sajna', 'Jeevan Mrityu', 'Kab, Kyun, aur Kahan' , 'Pyaar Hi Pyaar', 'Sharafat', 'Mera Gaon Mera Desh', 'Guddi', 'Naya Zamana', 'Mera Naam Joker', 'Raja Jani', 'Sita Aur Geeta', 'Samadhi', 'Do Chor', 'Loafer', 'Fagun', 'Keemat', 'Jugnu', 'Jheel Ke Us Paar', 'Jwar Bhata', 'Yaadon Ki Baaraat', 'Black Mail', 'Kahani Kismat Ki'...

'Chupke Chupke', 'Pratigya', 'Sholay', 'Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka', 'Charas', 'Dream Girl', 'Chacha Bhatija', 'Dharam Veer', 'Shalimar', 'The Burning Train', 'Aas Paas', 'Ram Balram', 'Rajput', 'Naukar Biwi Ka', 'Razia Sultan'..., and many more films after this... more than three hundred films in his acting journey of six decades.

Dharmendra Family

Turning point...

Family life gets disturbed under the influence of number 8. Apart from his son Sunny, he has two daughters and one son Bobby (27.01.1969), Dharam ji married Hema Malini (16 October 1948) in 1980 and became a father of two daughters Isha (1981) and Ahana (1985).  See the effect of number 8 that there was distance from this new family also. Anyway, big success forces people to stay away from family. Numerology says that only a single parent can raise children.

Very emotional...

Despite all the commitments, son Sunny was launched in the film "Betaab" in 1983, and Bobby was launched in "Barsaat". Apart from this, Dharmendra ji also produced other films.

New turn in life

He went into a field of work that he had never even thought about. Bharatiya Janata Party fielded Dharam ji in the Lok Sabha elections from Bikaner, Rajasthan in 2004. He won but retired from politics as soon as his term was over.

Dharam Ji

The peak time of success

Dharam Ji remained at the peak of success as a hero from 1970 to 1979 (8...8). This was the effect of number 8.

Not a big award!!!

Despite the immense success, there is a lack of proper evaluation of his services, this happens with people having number 8. Dharam Ji never received the "Filmfare Award" although the nomination was done several times. The Life Time Achievement Award was given in 1997, as if a mistake had been rectified.

Dharamendra fitness

Even active at this age, and alone!!!

Since the time of the Corona tragedy, we have been seeing in the media that Dharam ji is working hard and growing vegetables in his huge farmhouse in Lonavala. As if we have returned to the fields of Punjab...to his roots.

Everyone likes Dharam ji...

The popularity of the songs of Dharam ji's films is increasing with time, because those songs have melody. Dharam ji did films with Asha Parekh, Meena Kumari, Nutan, Vaijyantimala, Sharmila Tagore, Mala Sinha, Rekha, Rakhi, Mumtaaz, Hema Malini... his pairing with everyone was very much liked.

At the end...

Dharmendra's film innings is not over yet. 88-year-old Dharmendra will be seen on screen with his son and grandchildren. Many congratulations, and best wishes on his 88th birthday on 8th December!!
