A Star is born
Born Vishal Veeru Devgan on 2nd April 1969, Ajay's film background was undeniable. His father, Veeru Devgan, was a renowned stunt choreographer and director, and his mother, Veena, was a film producer. It was no surprise then that Ajay found himself drawn to the world of cinema. Action Hero & Romantic Lead
Throughout the 90s, Devgn established himself as an action hero, starring in films like "Jigar," "Vijaypath," and "Dilwale." But Devgn's talent wasn't limited to action. He showcased his versatility with captivating performances in romantic comedies like "Ishq" and "Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha," and even more emotionally charged roles in "Zakhm" and "The Legend of Bhagat Singh," which earned him two National Film Awards for Best Actor.
Comedy Capers and Blockbusters
Devgn's filmography boasts a remarkable blend of genres. He delivered critically acclaimed performances in crime dramas like "Company" and "Omkara," before venturing into comedies with the hugely successful "Golmaal" franchise alongside Rohit Shetty. This ability to seamlessly transition between genres is a testament to Devgn's immense talent.
In recent years, Devgn has continued to impress audiences with high-grossing films like "Total Dhamaal," "Tanhaji," and the record-breaking "Drishyam 2." His portrayal of Maratha warrior Tanhaji Malusare in "Tanhaji" earned him his third National Film Award for Best Actor.
Beyond Acting: Directing & Producing
Devgn isn't just a phenomenal actor; he's also a successful director and producer. He established Ajay Devgn Films in 2000, producing critically acclaimed films like "U Me Aur Hum" and "Runway 34," which he also directed.
