“Bold “is not just skin show-“Kaavya [Hate Story] & Kaali both operated differently” Paoli Dam

Actress Paoli Dam this bold and  inhibition free actress then signed her debut film  Hate Story,<2012>  known to have played the role of Kaavya directed by Vivek Agnihotri, produced by Vikram Bhatt which was an “Erotic thriller..Even before Paoli Dam debut in bollywood she had become famous for her nude scenes arguably, for  the most controversial film “Chhatrak” This film had received Red Carpet premiere at the Cannes.<2011> Paoli had become overnight sensation for canning a total frontal  nude scene for this film. Paoli credits having done a few Hindi movies though she turned her attention to Bangla..

Well Paoli Dam is back with Kaali-2. Paoli Dam is busy doing web shows now. Her latest web shows Kaali 2” that released recently being aired on Zee5 is a bilingual show –Hindi and Bangla. Kaali 2 has come up again on the public demand...The show has just begun….Paoli is hopeful that the audiences’ will love the celebrations’ of woman power that they will witness in the show.”

About,”Kaali2” which is a powerful role again for Paoli she says,” I am excited for the show has just released. I am waiting for my audience to watch it. After doing season 1 we were happy with the content and especially because we were creatively satisfied .Kaali Season 1 would be such a huge hit we did not think so. People loved it ,I received so many messages .Eventually when season 2 came into the picture it was a difficult shoot. It’s a Hindi content as well shot in Bangla as well, so it becomes a bilingual project very big in canvas. So many new thrilling characters are also introduced. This show will further be done in Tamil, Kananda Telugu and Marathi and other South Indian languages as well.

About the title she clarifies,” Kaali as the name suggests being Synonymous to igniting thrills-Eh has been It has been used as the metaphor. Kaali is symbol of Shakti. In this show season 2 is about a mother and a woman who goes to any extend to save her child. We are celebrating womanhood, motherhood and celebrations of woman power femininity. When we talk about woman empowerment then why can’t we talk about celebrations of woman power? It also captures the unseen underbelly of Kolkatta which is something new .None other show has captured any underbelly of Kolkatta until this day.

Adding a bit about the story of Kaali 2 she elaborates,” “Kaali 2” depicts the ,” Underbelly of Kolkatta” There are certain locations in Kolkata connected to underworld the way people lead their life is depicted in different ways. This is a  simple story is this woman ,who is nowhere connected  to these things. Her husband was part of wrong things in life she is never related to these things but   she got sapped in gang wars somehow falls into this trap she wanted to save the life of her son, her only objective.

 My strengths she says,” With experience in life you become strong by every day. I also Have my strength of mind I drive strength from characters I perform on the screen I may not be strong in real life. If I see, read about these characters it gives me happiness and pleasure. A woman can be like this. Kaali sense as motherhood, her vulnerability she is emotional her life has taught highs of emotions. She does everything effortlessly in any given situations and her experiences has made her like that.

 About her forthcoming films,” I have done a film titled “Bulbul”  it should be releasing soon on an OTT platform, Yes this film too  is based on a woman oriented subject .It’s a period piece. Connecting to 18^th century. I cannot divulge anything. I am playing a pivotal role. It is an ensemble cast actually. Everything is completed its release in June. No it’s for a platform.

Transformation from being “Bold” to Motherhood’.”Having performed a bold role. You told us then,” “It’s the state of mind” comment,” It’s my fascination to perform different roles. It’s the content and script that excites me. And being Bold and whatever, I wanted to explore different kind of roles. Thankfully I got it. Kaali show is extremely bold the way it’s been shot, depicted & captured. The way she moves, talks and enacts –everything she does it in a bold way. Bold is not just skin show. That was a diff Kaavya who operated in different way. While,”Kaali” operates differently. Whatever Being Kaavya and Kaali -the alphabet,”K” stands strong for me. Allowing me to opt and transform  the bold Avatars respectively.
