BOLLYWOOD DEFENDS MAHIRA KHAN FROM TWITTER TROLLS
New Update

Ever since the paparazzi caught Ranbir Kapoor and Mahira Khan chilling in NYC, the internet officially lost it's cool. Rumours had been doing the rounds of them seeing each other and the pictures proved that there is no smoke without fire. But that's not it, the internet also did its favourite thing—troll people for living their lives. While Ranbir Kapoor didn't receive much flak, Mahira Khan was targeted ruthlessly and the internet pounced on her. People started questioning her commitment to her religion, culture, virtues etc. thanks to her backless dress and a cigarette.

Thankfully, Bollywood didn't stay mum on this issue and several stars came out in support of the Pakistani actress, much deservingly so.

Ali Zafar posted a hand-written note on his Twitter account trying to fill sense into people's polluted mind. If only, they were willing to understand...

On, the other hand Rishi Kapoor made sense this particular time and said his son had the right to do whatever he wanted to. In an interview with HT City, he said“Ranbir is a young star, he is unmarried, he’s a bachelor. He can meet anybody whoever he wants to, and if people are going to invade his privacy, it’s not done. And I can’t say anything about all this because he’s a young man and he has the choice of meeting any girl.”

During the trailer launch of her upcoming flick when Parineeti Chopra was asked of her opinion and she said, "I'll just say one line. It's a little unfair. Everybody knows it's unfair and it'll stop. Today, because of social media, everything becomes too big a deal."

Varun Dhawan and Taapsee Pannu also decided to voice their opinion on this matter. While Varun Dhawan ended the discussion with a curt reply, “Shame on those who do it." Taapsee believes it's better to deal with such issues in a jovial manner and said, “An eye for an eye would make the entire nation blind so I don’t want to answer them with anger and hatred so I find humour the best way to answer them.”

We think these Bollywood celebs deserve a round of applause for standing up for what's right! Great job in giving it back to them haters, y'all!
