Boman Irani, Divya Dutta And Other Cast Launched Jhalki Trailer In Mumbai
Let every child be free... to be a child as rightly said by Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Peace Laureate. Director Brahmanand D Siingh brings you a heartwarming tale of hope and courage, Jhalki. The film deals with the sensitive issue of child trafficking and child labour.
The makers unveiled the trailer launcher an event in Mumbai in presence of  director Brahmanand S Siingh, CO-director Tanvi Jain, producer Annand Chavan, actors Boman Irani, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Sanjay Suri, composer Sandesh Shandilya, Arti Jha (plays Jhalki) and Goraksha Sakpal (plays the brother) along with many kids who had come from an NGO, to be the part of the event.
Director Brahmanand S Siingh said, “We have a powerful medium called cinema and if you can make a good film, then nothing like it. Happy to have got this cast that makes the film more pleasure and purposeful.“
“The specialty of this film is its sensitivity, kids are very sharp and open. I am very happy and proud to be a part of this film. Working on such a film has impacted me a lot personally,” said Tannishtha Chatterjee.
“I was fortunate enough to be called to play a role in a film like Jhalki. I have lived a blessed childhood. I really hope every child in our country gets a healthy, safe environment and education. Added Divya Dutta.
“I was writing my own film one day and got a message saying that we would like you to be part of a film based on child trafficking. The message flashed again in few minutes and just typed DONE, though generally I take sometime to respond to messages unless it is my wife’s message.” Concluded Boman Irani laughingly. Boman plays a character inspired by Kailash Satyarthi in the film.
The film also starring Joy Sengupta, Akhilendra Mishra and Govind Namdev in the pivotal roles releases on 27th September. The film’s story is written by filmmaker Prakash Jha and is being distributed by Panorama Studios.
