BREAKING: 2.0 DELAYED, YET AGAIN!

Akshay Kumar recently announced the release date of his much talked about film Padman which happens to be 26 January 2018! There have been speculations doing the rounds that 2.0 was expected to release on the same date and with Padman having taken its place, the release of the Rajnikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson starrer might see further delay in its release.

Trade analysts Taran Adarsh and Sreedhar Pillai tweeted about the same and they too seemed to have a similar opinion. While talking to HT about the speculations about the release of 2.0, Sreedhar Pillai explained, “This morning, Akshay Kumar announced that his film Padman will be releasing on January 26, 2018. This is seen as a sign that there are high chances of Shankar’s directorial 2.0 not releasing during Republic Day weekend. If it was releasing, would Akshay Kumar want to clash at the box office with such a huge film of his own?”

There is another rumour that's surfacing in the media about the visual effects of the film not being completed yet. Besides that, seems like the trade wants 2.0 to be a summer release. “A summer release is a good thing for a film like 2.0. It is during the vacations, and the best (time for the) audience come out to watch movies. In fact, Baahubali 2 received a great response as a summer release and trade expects the same for this film too,” Sreedhar Pillai added.

Meanwhile, we are still awaiting a confirmation from the 2.0 team!
