Salman Khan is all set to produce a new TV show based on the life of wrestler Gama Pehalwan starring his brother Sohail Khan in the lead role. The show will be Salman Khan's first project as a television producer. The makers have roped in popular actors like Ahem aka Mohammad Nazim of Sath Nibhana Sathiya, Mithun’s son Mahaakshay Chakraborty, Bhishma aka Aarav Chowdhary from Mahabharat, Jai Ho fame Harun Kazi and Priya Bathija who is known for her role of Afreen Hussain Khan in the serial Khwahish. Sohail will play the protagonist Gama, Aarav and Priya will play Gama’s parents while Mohammad Nazim, Haroon Kazi and Mahaakshay will play the role of his brothers in the drama. According to reports, the show will air twice a week and will mostly launch by the end of December 2017. The show will air on Star Plus from 8 to 9 pm after the end of Akshay Kumar’s stand up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Earlier, there were reports that Salman wanted to make a film on the same subject which was to be helmed by Puneet Issar but the project was dropped. According to Puneet, "This subject required a longer run time".
