Celebrating the Remarkable Journey of Shweta Tripathi Sharma in "Mirzapur," as Season 2 clocks 3!

It has been 3 remarkable years since Golu Gupta, portrayed by the powerhouse of talent Shweta Tripathi Sharma, took an unconventional  graph in the groundbreaking Indian crime drama series "Mirzapur." The show, which marked one of India's early forays into streaming entertainment, dropped on Amazon Prime on November 16, 2018, and it didn't just captivate the audience, it became a defining moment in Shweta Tripathi Sharma's career.

From her debut in 2011 with the hit TV series "Kya Mast Hai Life" to her recognition-garnering role in "Masaan" alongside Vicky Kaushal in 2015, Shweta's journey in the world of acting has been a compelling one. She broke away from conventional choices as an artist, delivering memorable performances in projects such as "Haraamkhor," "Gone Kesh," "Cargo," "The Gone Game," "Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein," and most recently, "Kanjoos Makhichoos."

'Golu' is the most complicated and complex character that I have played and is also the closest to my heart. From season 1 to now 3, which I can't wait to share with you, it has been a life changing experience for me as an actor as well as a person. I have learnt and evolved in a way that I can't put it in words. The journey of 'Golu' has given me 'Shweta' the strength at different stages in my life.  It's just pure joy to go back to Mirzapur set as I feel a sense of responsibility to give my best as GOLU to the audience that makes them feel like they have returned home."
