Cfbp Consumer Film Festival Which Concluded Successfully Saw An Interesting Mix Of Entries And Perspectives!

The Council For Fair Business Practices (CFBP) has organised the Consumer Film Festival now in its third year comprising of Short Film Competition, Poster/Painting Competition and Slogan Writing Contest on interesting topics like Women Empowerment, MeraHaq - My Right, Climate Change and Jaago Grahak Jaago in two categories - Below 18 years and above 18 years.The CFBP Consumer Film Festival’s Jury meet concluded successfully.The Winners were decided from an interesting mix of Students, Filmmakers and other talented creative people including a farmer from Kolhapur, who will be recognized separately.  The Jury, which boasted of a wide range of eminent personalities included –Justice BN Srikrishna, Ms. Honey Irani, Mr. AbhinayDeo, Ms. Dolly Thakore, Mr. Rohit Gupta (Sony Ent), Prof. VishwanathSabale - Dean of JJ college of art, MrAbhayAima (Director, HDFC Securities) and Mr. Sam Balsara (Founder, Chairman and Managing Director, Madison World) emphasized the importance of Concepts and Ideas as the primary criteria for selecting the winners.  Also, present were Mr. Swapnil Kothari, President CFBP (Managing Partner, S. Kothari & Co.), Mr. Shekhar Bajaj Founder Member, CFBP (Chairman & MD of Bajaj Electricals), Ms. Kiren Shrivastav, Chairperson CFBP Consumer Film Festival and CEO, Molecule Communications Pvt. Ltd.

As the Jury represented a cross-section of people from Filmmaking to Banking to Legal to Advertising to Art to Creative, the entries received were also from an interesting mix of students Filmmakers, Professionals to Farmers.  With more than 700 entries received from all over India, it was a long screening process and the Jury was given the shortlisted entries in each category to decide the final winners Filmmaker &Writer AnuraadhaTewari and Sanjay Panday, EVP and business partner, DDB Mudra West helped in screening for final nominees.The Jury had a very interesting take on the Finalists, who were given points based on their creativity, originality and effectiveness of the concept in getting the message across. “In today's digital world where most art forms are losing their significance,CFBP Consumer Film Festival  is a good effort to encourage them.” Says AbhayAima,Group Head, HDFC Bank & Director HDFC Securities.The Winners will be awarded at a grand award function on November 1 at Taj Lands End, Bandra with stalwarts from different industries as celebrity attendees.CFBP was established in 1966 by stalwarts of business and industry like Mr. J. R. D. Tata, Mr. Ramkrishna Bajaj, Mr. Arvind Mafatlal, Mr. F.T. Khorakiwala, Mr. Naval Tata, Mr. S.P. Godrej, Mr. J.N. Guzder and Keshubhai Mahindra and others who recognized the imperative need of business and industry to regulate itself.
