Chandan Madan Roped In Mere Sai

Television actor Chandan Madan is all set to be a part of Mere Sai on Sony Entertainment Television. He will be seen portraying the character of Srikant who is a teacher by profession and comes to Shirdi’s school to teach. Chiu Tai, Kulkarni’s sister is a widow and is seen facing challenges because of her status. Srikant, a learned man who is privy to her hardships will form a special bond with her and help her overcome it. Mere Sai, the show has always addressed issues which are very prominent in the society and through this track, the show will address the fact that a bond can be formed  between anyone and how Sai Baba helps to form a family despite the taboos attached.

 Chandan Madan who will be seen essaying the role of Srikant in Mere Sai said “I am playing the character of Srikant, who comes to Shirdi as a teacher. He doesn’t like the way people are behaving with Kulkarni’s widow sister Chiu Tai. But my character will be seen forming a special bond with Chiu Tai and will help her overcome the societal pressures. My family and me are Sai Baba followers in real life and when I got an offer for this role to play in Mere Sai, I immediately accepted the role. The good part about Mere Sai is that it looks very real and nothing is compromised when it comes to costume and language.”
