While the talented actor has the distinction of having worked with celebrated filmmakers, his recent venture titled Aashram stands to be one of the most hard-hitting in his career. The latest series helmed by Prakash Jha streamed not long ago and the appreciation and rave reviews have been pouring in since then. Chandan essays the role of Bhopa Swami, who is the lead character Baba Nirala's prime aide in the series, which revolves around the corruption and crime that happens under the guise of faith. The actor reveals that while Baba is the face of the Aashram, it is Bhopa Swami who carries out its operations. As the series raises socially relevant questions about faith, the actor appears to have essayed his part to the T. Talking about Aashram, Chandan says, “Working with Prakash Jha was fantastic. I learned a lot from him. I aspire to be a filmmaker one day and it's great to work with directors like him. He knows how to shoot a scene keeping the edits in mind. I really enjoy that. Working with him helped me hone my acting skills. He would always tell me to do less.
