All our teachers would perform for the students and we would always be extremely excited for this. We were also given ‘laddoos on that day in school. However, now, this day is celebrated in a really grand manner as I see my daughters having a theme party in their school. I personally believe that in a child’s life, each day should be a ‘children’s day’, for once this childhood fades away, and life hits, they will never be able to enjoy these days again. Hence, it is also a request to parents to help maintain their child’s innocence for as long as possible and just let them be. I still remember, during school days, we were allowed to dress up in our casual attire during on Birthdays but I never got a chance to out stand in class because all the students were asked to wear casuals on Children’s Day. Most of my class mates ended up wishing me Happy Children’s Day instead of Happy Birthday. Apart from this, I have always loved Children’s day because this is one of the few days where children can bring up their A-game in playing mischief and be excused for the same!
