A self-defence training was given by Chitah Yajnesh Shetty to women at a program organised by the “We District 323 A 2” affiliated to the “ Association We Clubs in India” in association with the ladies wing of the Navi Mumbai Kannada Sangh on international women’s day recently. We Mala Shetty, District President of the “We District 323 A 2” affiliated to the “ Association We Clubs in India” had taken initiative to organise this program. Yajnesh Shetty, a martial art expert, actor and director advised women to increase the level of self-confidence and be mentally prepared to meet any eventuality. “On the International Women’s Day, I am honoured to conduct self defense programme for the great women at a function skillfully organized by We Mala Shetty. Women are epitome of power. Stand Strong” is the message I would like to give to all girl children and women on this international women’s day.” he added. A sizable number of women of all sizes and shapes participated in the program and took tips of self-defence from Chitah Yajnesh Shetty. Those who attended included office bearers of the Navi Mumbai Kannada Sangh- President Sunita Lakkimar, Secretary Jyothi Prasad, Treasurer Sandhya Mohan and others. Chitah Yajnesh Shetty is an actor and director, known for “Gambler” (1995) and “Hum Tum Pe Marte Hain” (1999). He is a physical trainer of many stars and had taught martial arts to Hrithik Roshan too.
