Subhash Ghai-  There was a time when we used to pray to God for our films to run for 25 weeks, as achieving a silver jubilee was a big deal. While making this film, we had no idea it would run for so long. But by God's grace, here we are, celebrating its 25th anniversary. What I love is that even today, the younger generation—now in its third wave—connects with this film. They come up to me and say, "Uncle, we’ve watched this movie so many times, three or four times." The secret to our film’s success lies with A.R. Rahman. Kumar Ji handled the marketing and promised that if we made a good film, he would fund it completely. He supported us, and we created this film together.

Whenever you make a film, think about how people will perceive it 25 years later. Today, we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of "Taal" in such a grand manner. We used to sit together, hoping to create divine music without knowing whether it would succeed. A.R. Rahman poured his heart and soul into it. All the actors—Aishwarya Rai, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Amrish Puri, Alok Nath, Saroj Khan, Ahmed Khan, Anand Bakshi, Shiamak Davar, and Sharmishta Roy—worked passionately on this project.

A.R. Rahman- For me, "Taal" was a journey of discovery. After "Roja," when I worked on this film, I was embarking on a new adventure with Subhash Ji. This marked a significant turning point in my career, and that’s why I was so happy to work with him.

Saurabh Shukla- This is a moment of great joy for me. It will always remain in my life because it was my first opportunity to work with Subhash Ghai and such big actors like Aishwarya Rai, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, and Amrish Puri. I knew this was a big film, and it was the start of my career. I was scared of getting lost among such talented actors. Let me share a little story—Subhash Ji called me to a location and said, “Come to this address.” When I arrived, he spent three hours telling me the story of the film. It’s a big deal when Subhash Ji shares his story with an actor. It felt like home at that moment.

Recently, Subhash Ghai’s film has celebrated its 25th release anniversary. This film has achieved its silver jubilee, and on this occasion, it will be re-released in theaters. "Taal" is set to hit theaters again on September 27th.
