The detailing on the silhouettes was of the exotic feathered creatures, which made the design phenomenal. Lehengas stitched with spectacular flares, portrayed the concept of marrying premium yet lightweight and fluid fabrics. Lakme Fashion Week The attention-grabbing set of garments, offered a range that was flamboyant yet eccentric, with heritage embroideries and sustainable techniques, to create the perfect combinations of style, glamour and aestheticism. The models took the ramp in visually stunning and highly imaginative feather-like materials. Manoj Agarrwal’s designing skills were amply evident in the appliqué work of the garments on nets and organzas. The colour palette included vibrant, multi-shaded and sun-kissed colours with shades of yellow, beige, bronze and pink. The embellishments were designed for women who dream of freedom and know how to work their magic through thoughtful and innovative dramatization of their clothes. The feminine collection mesmerizingly captured the imagination of the archetypical fashion connoisseurs. Raw textured materials were comfortable with flowing silhouettes, which would allow women to opt for these designs, in India’s punitive summers. Keeping classic Indian wear in mind, Kanchan interpreted them as vests and tubes. The assortment varied from backless tops to loose pants, skirts and maxi dresses. Anjali Verma presented “Delilah” with a range of silhouettes that were flamboyant, yet eccentric at The Studio during Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019. Dazzling with a tone-on-tone colour palette, the models glided down the runway in hues of biscuit, beige, pista green, aqua green and dusty pink, with glamorous touches of metallic copper and vibrant cherry pops. Model Walks The Ramp The expertise of the craftsmen was visible in the portrayal by geometrical lines and shapes. Twinkling under the ramp lights, were the intricate touches of gold zari and expert beadwork, which was the eye-catching aspect of the glamorous collection. For a show stopping entry, the very beautiful star Chitrangada Singh, sashayed in a cherry red, heavily embellished, floor-length gown, with a 60-inch flare that ended in a long train. The designer Vaani Raghupathy Vivek’s label, ‘Magnoliaá’ presented “Ayana” at an opulent show, in The Studio during Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019. For an opening entry, it was the versatile actress Meenakshi Dixit in a baby pink blouse with extended ruffles and a skirt. Meenakshi Dixit Inspired by pristine flowers, Magnoliaá ’s world of fashion truly reflected the design language of its muse. Echoing with an unblemished, free spirit, beautiful flowers were entwined to personify the marriage of elegance and comfort. With a confident aesthetic sense, sleek cuts and an indulgent design to suit any occasion – “Ayana’s” ensembles were crafted as a style testaments for every woman. Offering a brilliant mix of high fashion and functionality, the silhouettes ranged from flouncy lehengas, exquisitely embroidered saris, highly embellished anarkalis to long maxi dresses. Rich fabrics like sheer organzas, silks and chiffons were used to make fashion statements in an expressive manner along with floral embroidery. For her characteristic touches, layering was infused with floral motifs for the New Age modern bride. The juxtaposition of weaving techniques and solid colour blocking, came together seamlessly for the collection. The badminton star Saina Nehwal, graced the runway in a heavily embellished, bright yellow lehenga and blouse, while the beige dupatta with fringes added to the glamorous look.
