Vaibhavi Hankare, who has been part of several TV shows and films, is currently seen playing the protagonist, Mishri, in Dangal TV’s Sindoor Ki Keemat - Jyothi Venkatesh
She says, “Mishri is the quintessential perfect Indian woman, who is soft-hearted and simple yet brave and strong.
She doesn’t get cowed by challenges. She always puts her family before herself and regardless of the hurdles she comes across, she always finds light in the darkest of days.”
She is both like and unlike Mishri. She says, “We are similar and poles apart at the same time. I relate to Mishri’s simplicity, humility, and ability to always put her family before all else. I also relate to her unwavering fighting spirit.
On the other hand, she has a high patience threshold even if she has the biggest of problems staring at her, while I like to find solutions to problems as soon as possible.``
The actress admits to feeling pressurised with all the expectations pinned on her being the female lead of the show. She adds, “I feel the pressure every day.
This show has pushed me to test my capabilities, as I never thought that I would have the courage to hang from a building or get thrown off a cliff. I was claustrophobic but now I have overcome all my fears because I do all my stunts myself.
Now, I understand the true meaning of leading a unit of more than a hundred people with a sense of responsibility and dedication towards the crew, production house, and the channel.”
On a lighter note, we ask her about the first thing that comes to her mind when she hears the title of the show, Sindoor Ki Keemat. “The title will always ring a bell because of the iconic dialogue, ‘Ek chutki sindoor ki keemat tum kya jaano, Ramesh babu’ from Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Om Shanti Om.
A lot of people would be awed when I told them about the title of the show. Also, the title is also extremely special for me because this is my first TV show in the lead role,” she shares, adding, “It has been a great experience of working with Dangal TV so far.
They have given me a piece of my dream in the form of Mishri in Sindoor Ki Keemat. It feels amazing to live the dream every day. I will always be grateful to the channel and Gul Khan (the producer of the show) ma’am for believing in me enough to cast me as Mishri.
Keep watching Sindoor Ki Keemat at 9 pm only on Dangal TV from Mon to Saturday.
