Originally sung by the legendary Lata Mangeshkar and Shabbir Kumar with music composed by the renowned duo Laxmikant Pyarelal, the new rendition of "Zihaal-E-Miskin" promises to captivate audiences and evoke a renewed sense of longing.
 
The new version of "Zihaal-E-Miskin" has been crafted by the popular music composer duo Javed Mohsin, who have infused the song with a modern sensibility while maintaining the poetic essence of the original in the soulful voices of Vishal Mishra and Shreya Ghoshal. The heartfelt lyrics penned by the esteemed Gulzar have also been given a fresh interpretation by the talented lyricist Kunaal Verma in this revamped rendition.
 
In addition to the mesmerizing music, the accompanying music video adds a visual dimension to the heartfelt narrative. Shot in the breathtakingly arid landscapes of Jodhpur, the video pays homage to the original video in the film, creating a powerful connection between the past and the present. Starring Nimrit Ahluwalia, a popular finalist from the reality show Big Boss 2023, and the immensely popular digital content creator and influencer Rohit Zinjurke, the music video perfectly captures the emotional weight and grandeur associated with the song.

Sharing her thoughts on the revamped version of the iconic song Zihaal, Shreya Ghoshal expressed, "Taking an old classic and giving it a fresh spin for a new audience really bridges the gap between generations. It’s daunting to take on a song that has been immortalised by the great Lata Mangeshkar, but this is my humble attempt at recreating the song along with Vishal Mishra and l think composers   Javed, Mohsin, and lyricist Kunnal,  have given the song a new sound while preserving the song's essence. It’s a beautiful reimagination of the song and I hope it finds its place in the hearts of today’s audiences.”

The popular composer duo Javed-Mohsin shared, "Zihaal-E-Miskin is like a timeless melody and what an incredible opportunity we got to reimagine this classic for today’s generation. Celebrated actress Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia who is, doing her first music video after a long break and fresh out of the Big Boss latest season, shared, “I am elated with the response to the teaser, says “The entire idea is to pay tribute to the original and make the younger generation, who may be unaware of the original, sample this beautiful classic”.
