DESPACITO BECOMES THE MOST-VIEWED VIDEO IN THE HISTORY OF YOUTUBE

It's only been eight months since we first heard Despacito. And since then, we just haven't stopped! The song has literally been everywhere and has been topping charts around the world. And now, the Lui Fonsi and Daddy Yankee music video has become the most viewed video on YouTube and is the first ever video to reach the three billion views milestone, making history in the process.

It was only recently that Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's See You Again stole the crown from PSY's Gangnam Style and now it's Despacito which is at the numero uno spot. The video was first uploaded to YouTube back in mid-January and numerous versions of the song in various languages have been ruling the internet, while many took the liberty to create covers and dance videos as well.

Daddy Yankee took to Billboard's Instagram account to post a video acknowledging the honour of being the King of YouTube.
