HERE ARE DETAILS ABOUT VARUN DHAWAN AND ANUSHKA SHARMA'S 10 HOUR CYCLE RIDE FOR 'SUI DHAGGA'

Recently the Sui Dhaaga- Made in India starrer Varun Dhawan spent close to 10 hours cycling in the scorching heat of Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, with Anushka Sharma riding pillion for the shoot. The makers wanted to give the movie a realistic feel and thus decided to opt for a bicycle, which is a common mode of transport in the interior regions of the country.

A leading daily quoted a source, “From the characters’ looks to the costumes and elements, everything is relatable. This is extremely important for the makers as they draw to pull the audience into the film’s world.”

varun recently had injured himself while shooting for a scene that needed him to tumble down a flight of stairs. Though the team wanted to use a body double, the actor wanted to do the scene himself and ended up hurting his shoulder.

The actor resumed the shoot after a few hours. Weather conditions made the job rather difficult for the actors, as they have to shoot the entire day. The leading daily quoted its source,  “People in the heartland use bicycles to commute. Varun and Anushka shot for over 10 hours on it in Chanderi. It’s already summer there and the Sun was beating down on them. By the end of the day, both were quite exhausted.”

The movie is inspired by the Make In India campaign. Varun plays Mauji (a tailor), while Anushka will be seen as Mamta, an embroiderer in the film.
